It was not just another event; it was a gathering with substance and meaning.
On Monday afternoon (17/3), people of different ages and backgrounds came together at Studio Project Photography, not to listen passively, but to speak, share their thoughts and take part in an open dialogue about Thermopylae and the future of Lamia and Phthiotis.
The Thermopylae Forum – Coffee & Talk achieved something that rarely happens: it activated citizens. It brought them around the same table and gave them a real voice.

The atmosphere was warm and meaningful, without political colouring, without ulterior motives, without second thoughts… At a time when public discourse is often trapped in confrontation and labels, the opposite happened here: space was created for sincerity.
People who love their place spoke openly, without filters, without fear, without the need to “convince”, but with the need to be heard.
The discussion was based on the questionnaire created by the Thermopylae Forum, but very quickly the process went beyond the limits of a simple recording exercise.

The participants were divided into small groups, exchanged views, agreed, disagreed and arrived at shared thoughts, clearly outlining the region’s strengths, its weaknesses, as well as the opportunities and challenges that lie ahead.
And perhaps the most important element of the evening was not only what was said, but the way it was said.

The symbolic game at the end came to confirm this in the simplest way. No structure stands without cooperation. No idea moves forward without teamwork, and no change comes without participation.
Through this gathering, the Thermopylae Forum did not simply organise an event; it did something far more meaningful: it opened a path.

A huge thank you to our fellow citizens, who responded to the Thermopylae Forum’s invitation with interest, responsibility and a willingness to walk alongside us in our vision.
Because in the end, the real question is not whether a successful event took place, but whether this voice will continue to be heard.
