Break Even Consulting Group at the 3rd Thermopylae Forum for Rural Economy & Sustainable Development

Break Even Consulting Group at the 3rd Thermopylae Forum for Rural Economy & Sustainable Development

The Break Even Consulting Group of Companies participated in the session entitled “Rural Economy & Sustainable Development – The New Development Model for Greece”, which was held with the participation of the Minister of Rural Development & Food, Mr. Costas Tsiaras, and the members of parliament of Fthiotida.

In a particularly meaningful panel, with the participation of important political representatives, the development prospects of the primary sector and the need for investments in modern infrastructure and innovation were discussed.

The Minister, Mr. Costas Tsiaras , highlighting the strategic importance of the agricultural sector, stated:

“The primary sector is not just a sector that arouses interest in a country because of the economic expectation it creates, but it is a determining factor for social cohesion.”

In the same context, the President of the Break Even Consulting Group, Dr. Markos Margaritis , highlighted the need for targeted investments in innovation and infrastructure , emphasizing that every substantial development intervention is based on three interrelated factors: technical projects, maturity and financing.

Based on his many years of experience, Mr. Margaritis pointed out that the existence of financial tools is not sufficient if the appropriate technical preparation and maturation of the projects is not preceded.

Referring to the importance of technical maturity, Mr. Margaritis noted that, through the accumulated knowledge, experience and technical expertise of the private sector — as in the case of the Break Even Consulting Group — it is possible to fill critical gaps in the preparation and documentation phase of projects. The targeted utilization of such capabilities can act as a catalyst for the activation of financing and the substantial progress of development interventions.

As part of the Forum, Antonis Papadopoulos, Head of Growth & Strategic Partnerships of the Break Even Consulting Group , also participated in the panel entitled “Public Interest Algorithms . Artificial Intelligence at the Service of the Citizen” .

In his statement, he emphasized the need to connect university research with the needs of local authorities and businesses, as a basic prerequisite for leveraging innovation and creating real impact at the local and regional level.

The Forum concluded with the Awards Ceremony for outstanding students of Fthiotida , honoring the effort and excellence of the new generation.

In this context, Mr. Markos Margaritis had the honor of participating in the awarding process, contributing to a symbolic but essential moment of the program, dedicated to recognizing the educational progress and perspective of the place.
