The Advisor to the President of the United States convened the Thermopylae Forum in Washington.
The Thermopylae Forum sent a clear message of extroversion and internationalization from Athens.
In the context of the event “Thermopylae – The Battle that Shaped the Future”, which took place at the Vasilis & Eliza Goulandris Foundation Amphitheater, Christos Marafatsos delivered a message with a clear international focus: he called for the Thermopylae Forum in Washington, giving the impression that the discussion about Thermopylae can transcend geographical boundaries and gain a connection with the international community and the Greek diaspora.
Christos Marafatsos, advisor to US President Donald Trump and close associate of the US Ambassador to Greece, Kimberly Guilfoyle, underlined the importance of connecting with the Greek diaspora, emphasizing the international dimension of cultural heritage.

This specific invitation to Washington did not function only as a symbolic reference, but as a signal of perspective: that the Thermopylae Forum can evolve into a platform that will open channels beyond borders, strengthening the discussion on the utilization of a global symbol and the position that Phthiotis can claim through organized synergies.
And so, the evening in Athens did not end with just a “clap.” It ended with a new horizon: the idea that the Thermopylae Forum can open roads beyond borders, holding firmly at its core what Thermopylae has always symbolized: values that do not fade, but find each time a new way to speak to the world.
