“At the Thermopylae Forum, we envisioned it, we believe it and we will do it…”, emphasized the Chairman of the Board of Directors Dimitris Konstantopoulos.
The recent event in the heart of Athens, titled “Thermopyla – The Battle that Shaped the Future”, sent a strong message of extroversion for the exploitation of a global symbol.
As announced by the Chairman of the Board of Directors of Thermopylae Forum, Dimitris Konstantopoulos, the next events will take place at the European Parliament in Brussels and in the USA.
In fact, Christos Marafatsos, Advisor to US President Donald Trump and close associate of the US Ambassador to Greece, Kimberly Guilfoyle, declared himself a staunch supporter of the vision and invited the Thermopylae Forum to Washington, thus signaling the dynamic perspective of extroversion that the initiative has acquired.

“The Greek Diaspora can become the loudest voice of Thermopylae in the world. We want to unite these voices around a common vision.”
The Thermopylae Forum is not only a platform for dialogue to highlight the landmark of Thermopylae. It is an initiative with a vision and plan for the future of Lamia, Fthiotida, the Central Region, but also our country.
Our goal is for Thermopylae to become a vibrant, international reference point: to go, learn the history, experience the place and participate in a modern dialogue about the values that were born there and 2,500 years later continue to travel through the centuries.
The Battle of Thermopylae is not just a page of history. It is duty, it is sacrifice, it is freedom, it is an inner limit, it is a moral stance, it is a choice.
We call on those who believe in Thermopylae and what it symbolizes to come with us, to walk together, to create together a modern archaeological and historical space.
Let’s make Thermopylae a global destination for historical – cultural and spa tourism…”, said Dimitris Konstantopoulos, among other things.
