With a full and substantial speech, the  lawyer Sotiris Bregiannos, member of the Board of Directors of Thermopylae Forum,  spoke at his event in Athens about what it means today to truly defend the Thermopylae.

At the closing of the event  “Thermopylae – The Battle that Shaped the Future» ,  Sotiris Bregiannos  clearly posed the central question:  what does “we are guarding Thermopylae” mean today …

He spoke about this as a daily attitude, when we serve the public interest, respect institutions, work with a plan and consistency, and cooperate instead of seeking an alibi in inaction.

And, conversely, he described how we betray them: with petty politics, fragmented movements, lack of continuity, and treating Thermopylae as easy rhetoric rather than a real bet for the place.

OR speech It connects historical memory with the current responsibilities of those who decide, plan and influence the course of the region and the country.

It is an intervention that is worth listening to in its entirety , because in a few minutes it clarifies what we are really asking of those who say they are “guarding Thermopylae” in practice.
