“From now on, we must not concede anything more from Central Greece. We have already made many concessions…,” stressed the Mayor of Lamia.

Speaking at the Thermopylae Forum 2026, Panourgias Papaioannou did not mince his words, making it clear that we must all claim it together, united.
“The University is something that concerns us all and we must all, united, claim it together, because this is what history has taught us. We have already made many concessions and we will not allow this to continue…” said the Mayor of Lamia.
In fact, closing his remarks at the Thermopylae Forum, he recalled Leonidas’ historic phrase “Molon Labe”!
