This year’s edition is now entering its final stretch, with an increasingly clear identity, σημαντικές participations, and strong interest surrounding the sessions and the people who will gather at Thermopylae on Saturday, May 16.
Under the central theme “From Dialogue to Action,” this year’s conference takes on a distinct international significance with the presence of retired U.S. Generals Michael Erik Kurilla and Andrew Poppas, who are coming to Thermopylae to take part in a dialogue on life stance, leadership, resilience, boldness, and responsibility.

At the same time, the presence of Dr. Leonidas Tzonis, President of the Hellenic American Union, and Father Archdeacon Michael Karloutsos further strengthens the outward-looking character of this year’s event, adding international interest and a broader framework of connection with the Greek diaspora and public dialogue.
This year’s Forum will also welcome prominent figures from the fields of politics, science, business, the media, and society, who will contribute to the thematic sessions and to the conference proceedings as a whole.
The Institution of Excellence will once again hold a special place this year, with the honoring of high-achieving young people from Phthiotis, as a tangible recognition of the new generation and a meaningful investment in the region’s human capital.
Thermopylae Forum 2026 will take place with the honorary cooperation of the Holy Metropolis of Phthiotis and the support of the Region of Central Greece and the Municipality of Lamia.
The full programme of Thermopylae Forum 2026 will be announced by LamiaReport in the coming days.
