The proposal of Lamia Architect Dimitris Triantafyllou that stood out at the Thermopylae Forum 2025.

Participating in one of the most significant panels of the 3rd Thermopylae Forum , Architect Dimitris Triantafyllou highlighted the dormant potential of Thermopylae and emphasized the need to utilize the historical, cultural and natural wealth of the place.

” We must realize that here we are literally standing on a treasure ,” emphasized the Lamiot Architect, who has also done his diploma thesis on this specific topic, which was even awarded.

His proposal to hold an International Architectural Competition for Thermopylae, with the aim of comprehensively redeveloping and promoting the area, received a warm response from the public, as well as the support of many of the conference speakers.

The idea for such a competition is not just another development narrative. It is an invitation to the State, Local Government and society to envision and claim the future that one of the most emblematic places in world history deserves.

Thermopylae Forum 2025 has once again been the place where ideas with impact are born. And we will do everything in our power to make this proposal come to fruition.
