The Municipal Youth Council of the Municipality of Lamia – Lamia Youth had a dynamic presence   at the  Thermopylae Forum 2025 , participating in the section entitled  “The heart of the youth beats for their place” .

The discussion, which was moderated by journalist  George Papastamoulos,  was attended by  Michalis Athanasiou , President of the Youth Council,  Fotis Mourtos , Vice President,  Vasilios Mousteris , Coordinator of the Youth Entrepreneurship & Innovative Business Committee, and  Katerina Vourtsa , Member of the Administrative Team.

The young people of Lamia spoke candidly about the biggest obstacle their peers face in returning and creating in their homeland –  unemployment . They also spoke about their vision for a  modern, accessible city , with  vibrant cultural activity  and  enhanced social sensitivity .

With passion and optimism,  they extended an open call to the young people of Lamia living abroad to return and join forces to build together a city with a future and prospects.
